Turbotank is a vertically mounted pump, whose central shaft-tube is made of stainless steel, and which has a 3-blade propeller, electrically powered through a gearbox. It is can be mounted inside any type of tank, and offers top performance for very large capacities (up to 2000 hl).Turbotank is ideal for remontage of must, and it is the best solution for large wineries, being easily set for automatic running, whereby it offers close control over the fermentation process. Remontage with red grapes in the case of remontage with red grapes one normally plans the elaboration cycles of the turbine at 5/10 minutes with intervals of 4/5 hours. The duration of the cycle depends on the type of grape, the temperature of the must, and of the results one is aiming for. In very few minutes a great quantity of must is lifted from the bottom of the tank and sent over the layer of grape skins, constituting a thick layer of substance whose diameter is equal to that of the tank and from 10 to 50 cm in height. Then, from above, it filters down through the skin cap, returning to the lower part of the tank. Improvement of the product due to absorption of the skins' aromatic properties, without smashing them. Formation of a more homogeneous mass inside the tank. Elimination of problems related to over pressure, which are frequent during fermentation( Such elimination takes place through the pressure release created by the tube in the turbine that goes through the skin cap. ) Remontage with white grapes The digestor tube pump Turbotank is also designed for the maceration of white grapes. By creating the right work cycles, there is vertical movement of the mass of most, facilitating its contract with the skins.
