Meccanotank
Meccanotank is the tank that is suitable for all the wine cellars that need to work medium and large grape quantities with a limited staff. Meccanotank is a fermenting tank with a motorized paddles system, that quickly unloads all the skins left on the bottom of the tank, after wine-making, out of the tank door . Manual 'skins downloading' is no longer necessary. Combined with moving or fixed carriage systems (screw and belt conveyors, pumps), it results in a higher and cheaper productivity. In order to match different installation and production prerequisites, Meccanotank models range from vertical tanks on legs with flat bottom and side or lower door, suitable for medium capacity, to big fermenters with a deep conical bottom for higher capacities. Extracting blades are designed and calculated in order to optimize emptying, while making sure to avoid creating a skin "bridge". Both hydraulic and electrical motors can be used and opening can be manual , mechanical or hydraulic - according to customer needs and tank sizes. Motors and gearboxes are oversized to keep up with the most demanding situations, especially at the start. A special attantion is paid to gearboxes seals to avoid dangerous wine spill onto mechanical parts. Moreover, gearboxes are usually removable for maintenance and repair even with a full tank.
